The Juniors are officially GO for Scunthorpe! Thirteen Junior drivers have now booked to race despite the holiday season, ensuring another exciting day of Stoxkarts action.

Stoxkarts return to Scunthorpe Raceway for the first time since 2010. Returning stars, former drivers and current racers are set to join one of the most anticipated meetings of the season.

I have spoken with Matthew this morning regarding race formats at Scunthorpe. We currently have 36 Seniors and 9 Juniors booked to race. We need 1 more Junior to avoid them being dropped, so if you know anyone who is under 16 and has already completed their ORCi test (with us or another formula) please get them to book in or do a kart share for the day. With the Seniors up to 38 karts will be all-in but if we get 40+ it will be split to our ABC System. 28 all in could create

Following an incident at Buxton Raceway on Saturday 4th July, severe disciplinary action has been taken against a driver for a serious breach of safety during a race stoppage. During the stoppage, whilst the track had been declared safe and officials and paramedics were attending to an injured driver, a driver had their chain refitted by an on-track official and was instructed to park on the middle. Graders discretion has come into play quite a bit in both Juniors and Seniors due to the number of drivers. Juniors I have reduced the number of Superstars to 1 for the time being. Reds will be just 3 drivers as will the blues until more drivers come in and the pace of existing drivers increases. Harvey Haywood was crowned the 2026 Junior Stoxkarts British Champion at Buxton Raceway after a dominant performance in the M1WSS-sponsored championship event. Bobby Earnshaw and Sienna Moss completed the podium after a fantastic day of Junior racing.

It has come to light over the past two meetings at Cowdenbeath and Buxton that there appears to be an issue with the latest batch of plug-ins supplied. Unfortunately, several drivers have experienced plug-ins snapping or breaking for no obvious reason.
