HOW TO START RACING
Simple steps to get you on track
STEP 1. CHOOSE HOW YOU START:
Buy your own Stoxkart or hire one to get started.
STEP 2. READ THE RULEBOOK:
Before applying for a licence, you must read and understand the Stoxkarts Rulebook in full.
The Rulebook sets out the racing, technical, safety and conduct regulations governing Stoxkarts.
STEP 3. FLAGS & LICENCE APPLICATION:
Read the SX/7 Flags & Safety Guide and complete the digital flags declaration.
Once completed, continue to the Stoxkarts licensing pages to choose the correct licence application for you.
STEP 4. VIEW FIXTURES:
Take a look at our race calendar and choose where you would like to race. Stoxkarts compete at short oval circuits across the UK, with meetings throughout the season.

STEP 5. REGISTER / BOOK IN:
Once you have submitted your licence application, you will need to register as a member of the Stoxkarts website to access the Registered Drivers Area.
Your membership will be manually approved by Stoxkarts Ltd. Once approved, you can access the bookings page, book in for meetings and receive important driver updates.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Stoxkarts is designed to keep costs predictable and affordable.
Initial costs:
Stoxkart: New and used Stoxkarts are regularly available.
Safety Equipment: Helmet, race suit, gloves, boots and other required safety equipment.
Licence: Full and Day Licence options are available for Senior drivers. Junior licensing requirements differ.
Ongoing costs:
Meeting Entry: Pay for each meeting you race.
Fuel: Stoxkarts use approximately 5 litres of fuel per meeting.
Tyres: Controlled tyres are designed to last, keeping replacement costs down.
Maintenance: Simple servicing and routine maintenance between meetings.
Two hire Stoxkarts are available at each meeting for Juniors and Seniors. Arrive and drive for the full race meeting, with everything you need to get on track included.
JUNIOR & SENIOR RACING
Juniors: Ages 11–16, with specific licence and competence test requirements.
Seniors: Ages 16+, racing under the same controlled-equipment principles.
Junior and Senior Stoxkarts race separately, but the same Stoxkart can be used by both a Junior and Senior driver at the same meeting.
