Steward Camera Trial

We will be trialling a small body/cap-worn camera while stewarding at upcoming meetings.

Stewarding will continue exactly as it does now, with decisions made by the Steward/Race Director and other officials based on what they see. The camera is simply being trialled as an additional aid and will not be used to check race positions or results. We will be trying it in several different ways, cap worn, body worn and fixed location. We want to see how much of the track it can get in, if it is good enough for close ups and slow motion. It may also provide useful footage for promotion.

The camera may also be used to record discussions with drivers. Anyone involved in a deliberately recorded discussion will be told beforehand.

This is only a trial. We won't necessarily record every race and the camera won't capture everything.

As we have done with Raceceivers and transponders, Stoxkarts is prepared to try new technology and see whether it can be useful.

We'll see how it works over the next few meetings before deciding whether it's something worth continuing with.
