STOXKARTS – SKEGNESS WEEKEND INFORMATION & RACE FORMAT

Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 October 2026

With a busy Stoxkarts Skegness weekend ahead and a large number of Stoxkarts expected, please read the following information carefully so we can keep everything running smoothly.

STOXKARTS SKEGNESS – SATURDAY PRACTICE & TEST DAY

Pit gate opens at 9.30am.

All drivers must sign on and pay at the Stoxkarts trailer, where they will be issued with a wristband before going on track.

Practice will alternate between Junior and Senior Stoxkarts throughout the day.

Claire will be carrying out Junior competence tests between practice sessions.

Practice Prices

  • Owner drivers and friends – £45 per person

  • Hire Stoxkart practice – £75

  • Junior competence test – Additional £15

IMPORTANT – Practice is charged per person, NOT per Stoxkart.

Anyone who has paid, signed on and received a wristband can practice in any Stoxkart, including someone else's, provided they have permission.

ALL PRACTICE IS STRICTLY NON-CONTACT!

We would also welcome any volunteers who can help with the pit gate or other duties during the day. If you can spare some time, please let us know.

SATURDAY NIGHT – OVERNIGHT CAMPING

Anyone wishing to stay overnight at the stadium is welcome, including those who have not taken part in Saturday's practice.

There will be a £10 camping charge for those not taking part in practice.

The stadium toilets underneath the bar will remain open overnight.

SUNDAY – FINAL RACE MEETING OF 2026

Pit gate opens at 9.00am.

There will be NO practice on Sunday.

A catering van will be on site from 9.30am serving food and hot drinks. Please support them.

SIGNING ON & SCRUTINEERING

All drivers must sign on at the Stoxkarts trailer BEFORE scrutineering.

Any driver borrowing a Stoxkart for the entire meeting must complete a Day Licence, which will be available at the trailer when signing on.

PLEASE GET SIGNED ON AND SCRUTINEERED AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!

We have something special planned before racing begins.

We want to get EVERY STOXKART in the pits lined up on the infield, along with the drivers, for a group photograph and drone footage.

We have hired a professional company to capture drone footage and in-car filming throughout the meeting, with the aim of producing a professional promotional video for Stoxkarts.

This is a great opportunity to showcase the formula, but we need everyone's cooperation to get the group photograph organised quickly.

Once this is completed, we will start the meeting with Senior Heat 1.

SENIOR STOXKARTS – 2/3 RACE FORMAT

Due to the number of Stoxkarts racing, we will be operating the 2/3 heat system.

All Yellow, Blue and Red graded drivers will be divided into three groups – A, B and C.

  • Heat 1: Groups A & B

  • Heat 2: Groups B & C

  • Heat 3: Groups C & A

Each Yellow, Blue and Red graded driver will therefore compete in two heats.

All Yellow, Blue and Red graded drivers automatically qualify for the Feature Final.

White graded drivers will compete in all three heats.

If there are fewer than 36 automatic qualifiers, the highest-scoring White graded drivers from the heats will qualify to fill the remaining places in the Feature Final, up to the maximum of 36.

JUNIOR STOXKARTS

Our Junior drivers will have four races, all-in, to finish their season.

22 JOSH JOHNSON #FOREVER18 RACE

Our final race of the weekend, and of the 2026 Stoxkarts season, will be the special 22 Josh Johnson #Forever18 Race.

Drivers who are not competing in the main race meeting must complete a separate licence for this race and sign on at the Stoxkarts trailer.

Grid positions will be decided by a public draw, followed by a 3-abreast, bumper-to-bumper clutch start.

The race will be run over 22 laps.

Full details of the prizes and awards have already been published separately.

IMPORTANT – THIS RACE WILL BE RUN UNDER NORMAL ORCi RACING RULES.

All drivers must wear their Raceceivers.

And let's make one thing absolutely clear:

THIS IS NOT A CRASH FEST!

This race is about celebrating Josh and his love of racing.

The fact that you're out there taking part, enjoying the racing and remembering Josh is far more important than who crosses the finishing line first.

We want a competitive, enjoyable race that Josh would have loved to be part of.

LET'S FINISH 2026 ON A HIGH!

We've got a fantastic weekend ahead, with plenty of Stoxkarts, some great racing, professional filming and a very special final race.

All we ask is that everyone cooperates with the officials, follows the rules and races responsibly.

We want to finish the season with smiles, good racing and some great memories – not dealing with disciplinary matters!

Let's make it a weekend to remember.
