GOLD TOP FINAL – SUPPLEMENTARY CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS.

As we approach our Gold Top Final, please take careful note of the following Supplementary Championship Regulations. These apply in line with ORCi Championship protocols and are specific to this event.

In accordance with the ORCi Rules of Racing, we are providing all competitors with advanced notice of how this race will run. These procedures are mandatory and will be enforced on the day.

GENERAL PROCEDURES

• Rolling laps are bumper-to-bumper. No dropping back or creating gaps.

• The race may start at any point on the track within the first five rolling laps. Keep it steady, closed up, and no weaving.

• If there is a red flag stoppage within the first 2 laps of the first start only, a complete restart will take place.

• The primary cause(s) of a stoppage will be excluded from any re-run or restart.

• No repair time or repairs will be permitted during stoppages with the exception of the following:

• If karts become entangled, track staff may disentangle them during a caution or stoppage and allow them to re-join if they can move with no outside assistance, except for a jump start.

• If they can move, but for safety reasons it is felt a nerf rail or Aerofoil needs bending this can be done by one of the officials and they will be permitted to re-start.

• If there are gaps in the line up, the grid will simply close up.

• We will not remove lapped cars • Any stoppages unless red/Checked we will go back to the last completed lap.

STOXKARTS-SPECIFIC RULES

Contact is permitted: Karts may use the front bumper to gain position or spin another kart in the corner.

Spinning down straights is strictly forbidden.

Follow-ins, over-aggressive driving, reckless or dangerous conduct will not be permitted.

Unsportsmanlike conduct is prohibited, including but not limited to:

- Deliberate contact while not travelling in a racing direction.

- Deliberate contact that forces another kart into the barrier.

- Deliberately blocking a faster kart that is not on the same lap.

- Pushing/hitting another kart into a stationary kart.

On the last lap, if a driver in contention for victory makes contact resulting in another kart and themselves hitting the fence this will not be treated as a follow-in.

SAFETY REMINDER

• Keep arms inside the cab at all times.

• Do not lift the roof until instructed to do so by officials.
