Stoxkarts has two categories:
Juniors: 11 to 15 years old (age on the date of their first meeting).
Seniors: 16 years and over.

How do I apply for a licence?

Accepted Answer

You apply directly through Stoxkarts Ltd. All forms are available on the website.
 A completed application form, the required documents, and the annual licence fee are all needed.
 Junior applications must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

What safety equipment is required?

Accepted Answer

All drivers, both Junior and Senior, must have the following safety equipment: a correct helmet, fire-retardant race suit, fire-retardant balaclava, fire-retardant gloves, footwear that covers the ankle bone, and a neck support or HANS-type device (as required). All equipment must meet current ORCi safety standards.

Do I need to own a kart before applying?

Accepted Answer

No. You can complete the licence process first.
Senior drivers can race on a day licence. Juniors must take out a full licence even if using a hire kart.

Do new drivers need to pass a test before racing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, new Junior drivers must pass a driving competence assessment, which includes both a practical and a written test.

Do I need a mechanic or crew?

Accepted Answer

No. Some drivers come by themselves but many race with just one helper. Others bring a small team. It’s completely personal choice.

How much space do I need to store a kart?

Accepted Answer

A Stoxkart fits comfortably in a single garage, shed, workshop or trailer. No specialist facilities are needed. They are roughly 6ft long x 5ft wide by 5ft tall.

Are Junior and Senior races held together?

No, Junior and Senior races are held separately, although they occur at the same meetings.
