STOXKARTS

HOW STOXKARTS WORKS.
Stoxkarts races take place on UK short oval tracks, on both tarmac and shale surfaces.
Each meeting is designed to give drivers plenty of track time, close racing and a clear structure from start to finish.
Drivers compete in qualifying races (heats) followed by a feature final, with results counting towards various championships.

RACE FORMAT
Each meeting includes:
-
A minimum of two heats
-
A feature final
Race distances:
-
Juniors: 10 lap heats, 12 lap final
-
Seniors: 12 lap heats, 15 lap final
Grids are based on driver grading, keeping racing close across the field.
All races use rolling starts.

CONTACT RULES
Stoxkarts uses contact as part of short oval racing.
In Juniors, this is limited to nudge and spin.
Drivers can make controlled contact using the front bumper to pass or move a competitor in the corner.
Clear rules are in place:
-
No dangerous or reckless driving
-
Strict penalties for anything outside the rules
The focus is on close, fair racing, not chaos.

SCRUITINEERING & FAIRNESS
All Stoxkarts are subject to safety and compliance checks before each meeting.
Cars are also checked after races to ensure they comply with the rules.
This includes:
-
Engine specification
-
Weight
-
Safety equipment
-
Controlled parts
This ensures no one can gain an advantage through spending.

OFFICIALS & STEWARDING
Stoxkarts meetings are run by licensed officials and stewards licensed with the ORC (Oval Racing Council).
They:
-
Control race procedures
-
Enforce rules
-
Deal with incidents
Ensuring safe, fair and consistent racing at every meeting.
