What is a Stoxkart?

A Stoxkart is a Compact, single-seat short-oval race car measuring approximately 1.8 m long, 1.5 m wide and 1.5 m tall, built around a steel chassis with a roll cage, roof wing and protective bodywork.

Despite the name, a Stoxkart is not a Go-kart. It is a steel-chassis racing car fitted with a full roll cage, roof wing, mesh screen, front and rear bumpers, and controlled mechanical components. Stoxkarts are designed specifically for budget-controlled contact racing on short oval tracks.

Is a Stoxkart a kart?

No. A Stoxkart is not a Go-kart.

Karting uses small open-frame vehicles with no roll cage, no roof and no bodywork. A Stoxkart is a steel-chassis short-oval compact race car with a full roll cage, roof wing, protective body panels and bumpers, designed for contact racing on oval tracks.

How big is a Stoxkart?

A Stoxkart measures approximately 1.8 metres long, 1.5 metres wide and 1.5 metres tall.

This makes it compact enough for short-oval circuits, but significantly taller and more protected than a kart, due to the steel roll cage, roof wing, bumpers and bodywork that surround the driver.

What is the Stoxkarts formula?

Stoxkarts is a single-make contact racing formula operated by Stoxkarts Ltd.

Single-make means all cars use the same core design, with controlled engines, tyres and components. Modifications are tightly restricted so racing is decided by driver skill rather than budget.

The formula runs both Junior and Senior classes using the same controlled principles.

Who runs Stoxkarts?

The Stoxkarts formula is operated by Stoxkarts Ltd, which controls the rulebook, technical regulations, licensing, scrutineering and safety standards.

This ensures Stoxkarts operates as a structured, regulated racing formula rather than an open or uncontrolled class.
