BriSCA F2 Juniors

The announcement from BriSCA F2 is obviously something we need to be aware of, and there is no point pretending otherwise. Any new Junior formula entering oval racing will have some effect somewhere within the sport.

However, we honestly believe it is likely to affect some other classes more than it affects Stoxkarts.

One thing we have always battled against is the old stigma that Stoxkarts are somehow not one of the “big name” formulas. Yet over the years, we have also seen the other side of that argument with our drivers going on to perform at the top of their chosen formula once they move on from Stoxkarts.

Some people are more than happy to spend whatever it takes to be competitive.

When you look across some of the more technical Junior formulas, including Mini Stocks and others, you can clearly see the amount of parental pressure, financial pressure, politics, and both on-track and off-track hassle that can come with it.

That is exactly what we have always tried to avoid.

Stoxkarts has always been built around:

  • equal equipment

  • low costs

  • no setup development

  • minimal technical advantage

  • easy to Transport

  • driver ability over budget

  • A family atmosphere where newcomers can realistically compete.

A Junior Stoxkart is designed so drivers and families can focus on learning racecraft, confidence, close racing, and enjoying the sport without needing endless setup work, engineering knowledge, or major spending to stay competitive.

The fact that Stoxkarts have virtually no setup adjustments is not a weakness. It is one of the biggest strengths of the formula.

The proposed Junior F2 concept is based around full-size BriSCA F2 Stock Cars, which at senior level are highly technical, highly setup-sensitive, and expensive race cars. Even as a non-contact Junior formula, it will still require significant preparation, setup understanding, and financial commitment.

How they manage to fully control a non-contact environment in that type of car over time remains to be seen.

Stoxkarts does not need to become something it was never designed to be.

As always, we will continue promoting:

  • affordability

  • accessibility

  • equal machinery

  • close competitive racing

  • simple maintenance

  • proper driver development

Our job is to continue making sure Stoxkarts remains the best value and most accessible route into short oval racing.

The focus now is simple:

Keep promoting the formula.

Keep supporting each other.

Keep bringing new people in.

Keep showing why Stoxkarts works.

Not everybody wants the pressure, expense, politics, or intensity that often comes with chasing the "top-end" formulas.

Many people simply want affordable, competitive, enjoyable racing with strong grids, controlled costs, and a good atmosphere.

That is exactly what Stoxkarts continues to offer.

Budget racing at its best.
