Brake Disc Keyway.

1.5 BRAKES.

1. The braking system must be in full working order.

2. Pedal design is free however the left brake pedal must extend to a minimum of 50mm past the right-hand side of the center steering and brake cylinder mounting bracket so it can be used easily with both feet.

3. The rear disc may float on the disc carrier only, but the nuts must be through to the Ny lock thread and bolts are in good condition. The disc carrier must be tight on the axle with a keyway in place and no play.

4. Brake discs must not be coated in any substance to reduce friction.

5. Solid rear discs only no drilling or grooving.

6. The keyway must extend beyond the disk carrier and be secured in place. Several Karts at the Test day had not done this. There will be no Pink tickets issued you will have to correct it before you will be allowed to race.
