Just a couple of bits to keep drivers up to date. The Taunton/Bristol weekend at the end of the year will not be happening. Hopefully after team Lomax do a test when they visit with the V8, we will have more of an idea as to whether we will be able to race there next month. Licence details. Everyone has now had plenty of time to fill their licences with the correct numbers. Please be aware if your licence is not filled in penalties will be issued. If you win a race and we decide to check your licence and it is not correct you will loose the win. If we check at Scrutineering and it is not complete you will get a points forfeit. Parts. We have been very trusting as far as parts are concerned. I do not want to shut the back of the trailer between races, so if you do go and take a part please make sure you do a ticket for it there and then. Also we are not sale or return, if you take a part you own it! no bringing it back and saying "its ok we don't need it now we have borrowed one". The same applies to bringing a part back a week later because you did not use it in the end. I do not have an issue with anyone buying certain parts elsewhere but what I have a big issue with is drivers selling parts to other drivers, particularly innertubes, bearings or aerofoils. Spare parts is what keeps the job going, not race entries. The likes of Greg Lloyd, Carl Nunn and Paul Heath all supply a service and pay a little bit of commission which all helps keep the wheels turning. So please bear this in mind. I do realise that certain people can get certain parts cheaper but it is not all about that, you are helping to pay for a service that we supply to all teams by having 2 fully stocked vehicles at every meeting. All it will do is make the cost of the Stoxkarts specific parts increase. Late Bookings. I have had a couple of people complain about having to pay an extra £10 late booking fee. We have had drivers miss a meeting due to it or due to the fact they have to start off the back of their grade all meeting. The rule has always been there but we have often let it slip in the past or not noticed when someone books in after the correct date. With the new system it is not possible to do that and it makes our life a lot easier as we do not have to keep altering grids etc. The same goes for if you cancel without informing us there will be a fee to pay before you can race again. this has happened twice already this season. Racing. So far this year apart from a couple of little spats the racing has been really good. Good to watch as an official and good to watch as a spectator. Lets continue that way. Respect each other and race fair it makes the racing much more enjoyable for all involved.
