After a 16-year absence, Stoxkarts will finally return to Scunthorpe Raceway on Saturday 8th August 2026 for what promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated meetings of the season.
The announcement has generated huge excitement amongst both current competitors and former drivers, with several familiar faces making a welcome return to the formula specifically for this meeting. The response has been so positive that entries are already filling quickly, and drivers who are still intending to race are strongly advised to book in as soon as possible as entries may have to be capped.
Among those returning is 229 Joe Higgins, who will be back in the UK and ready to get behind the wheel once again. Former Superstar 471 Alaster Houghton will also be making the trip to race at Scunthorpe before heading to Buxton for Sunday's meeting. They will be joined by returning drivers 157 Mark Osborne and 473 Max Kaye, while current BriSCA F1 Stock Car driver 304 Nathan Topliff will also be lining up in the Stoxkarts field.
The meeting also marks an important milestone for several of our newest Senior drivers. A number of Juniors have recently graduated into the Senior formula, meaning this will be their first ever Senior shale meeting. Racing on shale presents a completely different challenge and will be an exciting new experience as they continue their progression through the formula.
In the Junior formula, numbers have naturally reduced following five drivers moving up into the Seniors due to age, together with several families being away on summer holidays. At present, the Junior grid is just one driver short of the minimum number required for the meeting to go ahead. We are hopeful that one more booking will be received over the coming days, allowing our Junior drivers to enjoy their only shale outing of the season.
With a strong Senior entry, returning stars, debutants on shale and plenty of interest surrounding the return to Scunthorpe, this promises to be a memorable day of racing.
Drivers wishing to compete are encouraged to complete their booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
