RACING WITHOUT THE MASSIVE COSTS

Oval Motorsport For 11–16 Year Olds.

Junior Stoxkarts is oval contact racing.

Real racing.

Real competition.

Real drivers.

No chequebook racing, no endless spending, limited technical setup.

Just close wheel-to-wheel and bumper-to-bumper oval racing in one of the UK’s most affordable and competitive junior motorsport formulas.

Every Stoxkart is built to tightly controlled rules using controlled parts to help keep the racing fair, competitive and affordable.

That means the focus stays where it should be — on driver ability, race craft and close racing.

WHAT IS A STOXKART?

A Stoxkart is a purpose-built short oval racing machine designed for contact oval racing.

Every Stoxkart is built to the same specification using controlled parts and tightly regulated rules to keep the racing fair and affordable.

That means:

  • Controlled engines

  • Controlled tyres

  • Controlled chassis

  • Limited modifications

  • Minimal setup

 The result is simple.

Close racing where talent matters more than money.

Keep the racing close. Keep the costs sensible. Stop chequebook racing.

REAL SHORT OVAL CONTACT RACING

Juniors on a Single File Restart
Juniors on a Single File Restart

Junior Stoxkarts is not follow-the-leader racing.

Drivers learn race craft, overtaking, defending, awareness, control and respect in proper competitive conditions.

The racing is fast, close and exciting while still being controlled through strict rules and experienced officials.

Drivers compete on both shale and tarmac circuits around the UK in proper short oval racing conditions.

Many drivers who started in Junior Stoxkarts have progressed into the Senior Stoxkarts formula, with some later moving into other national short oval championships.

AFFORDABLE TO BUY. AFFORDABLE TO RUN.

One of the biggest strengths of Junior Stoxkarts is cost control.

Unlike many other Junior formulas, the rules are specifically designed to stop chequebook racing.

  • Dyno tested and sealed engines

  • Controlled tyres that last years, not meetings

  • Very low fuel usage

  • No suspension set up

  • No expensive differential setups

  • No endless engine development

A single 5 litre fuel can will usually last an entire meeting.

Because new karts are not continually built when good second-hand karts are available, values stay strong too.

Many families buy a kart, race it for years, then sell it with very little loss.

BUILT FOR ORDINARY FAMILIES

Junior Stoxkarts has been designed to make motorsport realistic for ordinary working families.

You do not need:

  • A large race truck

  • A workshop full of specialist tools

  • Expensive data systems

  • Multiple spare engines

  • Endless tyre bills

Most competitors:

  • Tow with a normal family car

  • Store the kart in a standard garage

  • Maintain the kart themselves at home

The formula keeps things simple so families can spend more time racing and less time spending.

ONE KART. TWO FORMULAS.

One of the unique benefits of Stoxkarts is that the same kart can race in both Junior and Senior competition.

Once drivers reach senior age, the kart simply needs to meet senior weight and grading regulations.

That means families do not need to completely start again when drivers move up through the formula. It also means that parent and child can race the same kart at the same meeting.

SAFETY AND DRIVER DEVELOPMENT

Although the racing is competitive, safety remains a major priority.

All Junior drivers must complete the official Junior Driver Competence Test before competing.

This ensures drivers understand:

  • Flag signals

  • Race procedures

  • Safety rules

  • On-track conduct

  • Race control instructions

Drivers learn mechanical understanding, race discipline, awareness and respect while racing in a controlled environment.

MORE THAN JUST RACING

Junior Stoxkarts is not just about what happens on track.

For many drivers and families, it becomes a huge part of their social life as well.

Drivers travel the country together, spend weekends at race meetings, help each other in the pits and build friendships that often last for years.

Families who may have started as complete strangers regularly end up becoming close friends through the formula.

The paddock atmosphere is one of the biggest strengths of Stoxkarts.

There is competition on track, but off track there is a strong family atmosphere built around respect, teamwork and helping each other enjoy the sport.

For many drivers, the friendships, confidence and memories built through Junior Stoxkarts become just as important as the racing itself.

Friends for life.
