Stoxkarts offers one of the most accessible ways to get into short oval racing in the UK through its hire karts. Since 2010, the Stoxkarts hire fleet has been a key part of the formula.

In the early days, hire karts played a major role in building the grid. We were running up to 10 hire karts per meeting to give drivers a way into short oval racing without the cost of owning a kart.

Over the years, we have worked with some excellent teams who have supplied and supported the hire fleet, helping ensure it has always been competitive, reliable and properly maintained.

Today, the system has evolved — but it remains just as important.

THE HIRE KARTS TODAY

We now run two dedicated hire karts per meeting:

• 901 Run by Team Haywood

• 902 Run by Mark Bishop

These karts are prepared to the same standard as every other kart on the grid. There are no advantages or disadvantages — just a level playing field.

Over 90% of the current grid have come through the hire kart programme.

It is not just an entry point — it has been a major part of the formula’s success. This winter both hire karts have had total strip downs and re-paint, ready for a busy year.

WHAT YOU GET FOR £270

The hire fee is £270 per meeting and includes everything required to race.

Included:

• Fully prepared kart

• Helmet

• Fireproof balaclava

• Fireproof gloves

• Fireproof overalls

• Fireproof neck brace

• Raceceiver one-way radio

• Day licence

• All reasonable damage is covered

All you need to provide is footwear that covers your ankle bone. The team will walk you through the whole process. From sorting your licence, signing on, kitting you out and answering any questions you may have. The team work hard to give you a great day out.
